Activity Description: Communications support and / or sag support for the Marin Double Century bicycle event.  The ride courses cover roads in Marin and southern Sonoma Counties. There are 32 mile, 63 mile, 100 mile, 126 mile and 200 mile routes.  The start and finish is in Terra Linda, and routes run as far south as Muir Woods, and as far north as Occidental.
Pre-event Briefing: Thursday, August 03, 2017, 19:30 on the 146.700 MHz repeater.
What will be expected: Hams staff fixed rest stops along the course, and communicate supply requests, sag requests, riders needing assistance, and other traffic to Net Control.    Ham Sag drivers patrol the course, monitoring the progress of the riders, and provide mechanical assistance and/or transportation to riders. Sag drivers may be asked to ferry supplies between rest stops.  Ham motorcycle patrols monitor the course, and provide safety information to Net Control. Sag and patrol drivers will need to sign up on the event’s volunteer page for fuel reimbursement.  Please supply your t-shirt size, when signing up. Marin Century Locations
