GPC Stations


Overview: 108 mile bicycle ride through the East Bay Hills. Hams provide rest stop communications and sag communications.

All stations are to announce arrival of the first riders as they pass through. Stations are advise Net Control of arrival and departure of Sags; and the rider numbers of any riders picked up.
All stations advise Net Control of the numbers of the final riders and arrival of the sweep.
We have described the station locations with the best information we have. Station locations may change from year to year. The equipment recommendations are based on previous experience. Volunteers should be prepared for changing conditions.

Net Control -Start/FinishCampolindo1 This is the start & finish of the ride. Lunch Stop for riders. Net Control communicates with all stations, interfaces with the ride officials, and communicates with and directs SAG units. Island Rest StopIsland1  First Rest stop, and the start/finish of the no-car option.  Fixed location, communicates with Net Control, passes messages, reports the arrival of the first cyclists, and the departure of the final cyclists. Report SAG arrivals and departures. Island Picnic Area, Tilden Park, Wildcat Canyon Rd. near Anza View Rd., Berkeley. Briones Rest Stop Third Rest stop.   Fixed location, communicates with Net Control, passes messages, reports the arrival of the first cyclists, and the departure of the final cyclists. Report SAG arrivals and departures. (60 mile rider’s last rest stop.) Fire House Rest Stop Fourth Rest stop (100 mile).  Fixed location, communicates with Net Control, passes messages, reports the arrival of the first cyclists, and the departure of the final cyclists.
