On April 26, 2013 Chet passed away. He will be missed by all who knew him. He mentored many and encouraged participation in public service events and club activities including heading up our Field Day Committee for many years. Many of us were also customers of his outdoor gear store The Smiley Company.

Chet was a regular at our Sunday morning “Bible Class” coffee meetings, in memory of his contribution to those meetings and the club station, at the 14 November 2013 board meeting we renamed our Club Station Fund, the Chet Rice Club Station Fund.
