Last Saturday 27 April 2019 a group of our dedicated members volunteered to clean up the exterior area behind the club house. They cleared out the old com truck out so it can be removed. Moved the new com truck into frame that will support a cloth cover which has been purchased to protect the truck from the elements. They loaded up a truck and a trailer full of debris that had accumulated over the last year. We all owe them a debt of gratitude. Due to the fact that our April North Bay Critical Mass meeting falls on Easter Sunday the meeting is cancelled. Our next Critical Mass meeting will be on May 19th

The board of directors meets on the second Thursday of the month. In February of 2019 that falls of Valentines Day so the board has moved the February meeting to 7 February 2019. All other board meetings remain as scheduled.

The Marin Amateur Radio Society will be celebrate Christmas with or Christmas Dinner on 12/12/18. Doors will open at 5:30pm with dinner served at 6:30. Dinner will include Turkey with all the fixins and of course Ham. The cost is $25 per person if you purchase ahead of time and $30 at the door. You can pay online at w6sg.net/christmas_dinner.php. As part of the ongoing communication efforts with Hurricane
Florence, Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Station W1AW will suspend its
regular bulletin and code practice transmissions on Friday,
September 14. The station will resume its normal operating schedule
on Monday, September 17. Radio amateurs are reminded to avoid the
various Hurricane Watch Net (http://www.hwn.org/), and SATERN
(http://www.satern.org/) frequencies, as well as any state and
regional emergency nets at this time to help facilitate
communications that may be necessary during the Hurricane Florence
response.

The Marin Amateur Radio Society club picnic is this Saturday September 8th at Piper Park at 250 Doherty Dr, Larkspur Ca.
We will commence at 11:00 am. As in the past the club will furnish charcoal, burgers, hot dogs, and the fixins. You can bring your own meat and use the grill if so inclined. We encourage you to bring a salad or dessert item but it is not required. Talk-in will be on the 146.70 simulcast system. If you have questions you can contact Doug Slusher KF6AKU on 415-747-4175. So we can be sure to have enough food pleas RSVP to rsvp@w6sg.net.
