They were such a hit!
Not surprising that it went well with several terrific volunteers. There were some concerns in that it was in a new location to most members. Once there, and finding where to park, I think they found it to be a terrific location choice. Several members walked there!

If neither of the other local events this day catches your attention, the ride to defeat ALS in Napa Valley is on September 24th of this year. Maybe you know someone who suffered with ALS. Here is a link to the Ride Page that has information on routes and elevations as well as times when each ride starts. If anyone would like to join up for SAG they can email Edward and he can add you to their list.

To All,
On behalf of the Davis Bike Club, I want to thank you all for turning out and helping to make the 2022 Davis Double Century a success after its 2 yr. hiatus. About 270 riders started the ride around 0500 and only about 7 elected to take a ride all the way back to Davis. The last riders returned around midnight.
The saddest news of the day was late that night learning of the passing early that morning of Doug KF6AKU scheduled to be SAG12. He had been a long time SAG, rest stop, net control volunteer and a mainstay of the Marin Amateur Radio Society.
Thank you all again for turning out and hope to see you at the Foxy’s Fall Century 3rd Saturday in October.
Regards,
Dave

A couple of our club members enojyed the opportunity to be radio SAG units for the Davis Double Century on May 21.
I was your sole “customer” that day since my derailleur jammed on the section with no cell reception…and the “sweep”rider came to assist, and I had to coast back down Bobcat where I got the SAG back to lunch, and the mechanic fixed my bike. THANK to YOU guys, my safety would have been further jeopardized if we did not have those walkie talkies and your radio service! THANK YOU!!! Kim
I was so impressed with the caring and efficiency of how many people checked in on my well being at the lunch stop! It was so nice to know I was being “tracked”. I am impressed with how serious everyone took their job and in return, helped me! I would have still been on Bobcat trail to Marincello pushing up the rest of the hills into Tenesee Valley!
Signed, Former Damsel in Distress, happily eating chocolate chip cookies to refuel for leg #4!
Thanks for sending the photos, Michael!
