On Saturday, Nov. 19, and Sunday, Nov. 20, MARS volunteers supported this event by recording bib numbers as they came through aid stations. This proved helpful as the timing mats occasionally missed a tracker as it came through and we needed to relieve sweeps who were coming through an hour or more after the cutoff times. The commercial radios rented by the event organizers seem to have done a surprisingly good job at facilitating communication among the organizers and volunteers.
