{"id":12300,"date":"2020-10-12T13:38:04","date_gmt":"2020-10-12T20:38:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w6sg.net\/site\/?p=12300"},"modified":"2020-10-12T13:38:04","modified_gmt":"2020-10-12T20:38:04","slug":"october-18-critical-mass","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w6sg.net\/site\/october-18-critical-mass\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunday, October 18th 1030 hours 2-Meter Critical Mass"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>North Bay 2-Meter Critical Mass colleagues\u2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The North Bay 2-Meter Critical Mass ham radio practice sessions are held on the <strong>third Sunday of every month\u2014so our next Critical Mass is this coming Sunday, October 18, at 1030 hours.<\/strong> We are carrying on the tradition started at Spreckels Lake by our friend and colleague Peter McElmury AA6SF SK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Milt Hyams KM6ASI will be our host and discussion leader&nbsp;<\/strong>for this session of the North Bay 2-Meter Critical Mass. (There are four of us who rotate this NB2MCM: Doug KF6AKU, Milt KM6ASI, Rob NZ6J and Michael K6MLF.) You will see one of us in the lead each quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Once again we will meet on Zoom; Marin County is still one of the Bay Area\u2019s COVID-19 hotspots, and there\u2019s no need for us to take chances during this ongoing pandemic.&nbsp;We look forward to the day when we can again meet in person at the Civic Center lagoon.<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>MARS Sunday-morning net check-in will be at its usual time of 1015 on 146.700. <\/strong>&nbsp;As long as we meet on Zoom,&nbsp;<strong>we will start at 1030<\/strong>. We\u2019ve found that trying to check into the Marin Amateur Radio Society\u2019s Sunday morning net at the same time that we\u2019re attending a Zoom session simply doesn\u2019t work. We DO encourage you to check into the net before 1030!
