It&#8217;s free!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, radio colleagues\u2014<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s that time again.\u00a0<strong>Please RSVP<\/strong>, one way or the other. See below.<\/p>\n<p>On\u00a0<strong>Saturday, March 7<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0at 1100, we\u2019ll have our sixth annual public service meeting.\u00a0 It\u2019s a\u00a0<strong>debrief\u00a0<\/strong>on how things went last year, and what improvements we can make. It\u2019s an\u00a0<strong>awards<\/strong>\u00a0ceremony, with those who worked at least 3 events getting their Gold Stars. It\u2019s a\u00a0<strong>pre-brief<\/strong>, with an outline of what to expect in 2020, with a\u00a0<strong>signup list<\/strong>\u00a0for you to reserve your space on the events you want to work. It\u2019s a\u00a0<strong>training session<\/strong>, with tips on radio protocol, battery management, antenna setups, and solar-panel arrangements. Of course, we will get the latest\u00a0<strong>update on our repeater system<\/strong>, now that we have lost the Big Rock site.<\/p>\n<p>We will unveil the new\u00a0<strong>user-friendly public service section of the MARS website<\/strong>\u2014Dale Komai KK6ZOE, Larry Bradley KK6QPE and Curtis WA6UDS have devoted many hours to its development.<\/p>\n<p>We will also view the\u00a0<strong>professional-level video<\/strong>\u00a0on best radio practices that is being crafted by our own TV personality, Brian Cooley K6EZX.<\/p>\n<p>As usual, we will have valuable\u00a0<strong>give-aways<\/strong>\u00a0for all comers.
