See below.<\/p>\n On\u00a0Saturday, March 7th<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0at 1100, we\u2019ll have our sixth annual public service meeting.\u00a0 It\u2019s a\u00a0debrief\u00a0<\/strong>on how things went last year, and what improvements we can make. It\u2019s an\u00a0awards<\/strong>\u00a0ceremony, with those who worked at least 3 events getting their Gold Stars. It\u2019s a\u00a0pre-brief<\/strong>, with an outline of what to expect in 2020, with a\u00a0signup list<\/strong>\u00a0for you to reserve your space on the events you want to work. It\u2019s a\u00a0training session<\/strong>, with tips on radio protocol, battery management, antenna setups, and solar-panel arrangements. Of course, we will get the latest\u00a0update on our repeater system<\/strong>, now that we have lost the Big Rock site.<\/p>\n We will unveil the new\u00a0user-friendly public service section of the MARS website<\/strong>\u2014Dale Komai KK6ZOE, Larry Bradley KK6QPE and Curtis WA6UDS have devoted many hours to its development.<\/p>\n We will also view the\u00a0professional-level video<\/strong>\u00a0on best radio practices that is being crafted by our own TV personality, Brian Cooley K6EZX.<\/p>\n As usual, we will have valuable\u00a0give-aways<\/strong>\u00a0for all comers. We\u2019ll have a\u00a0raffle<\/strong>\u00a0for two Yaesu VX-4R radios and two of the spiffy MARS club jackets with reflective stripes\u2014and a few other inventive, smaller prizes.<\/p>\n A\u00a0free lunch<\/strong>?!\u00a0 How can you miss it?<\/p>\n
