Activity Description:<\/td>\nThe radio room on the submarine is a small one–two operators at one time is the limit.\u00a0 We will be setting up shifts for Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon. Because this is a DX event using HF, general or above license is required. Pileups should be expected, and looking for weak-signal boats will take some of our time. This is an operating event, and we recruiting\u00a0amateurs to work\u00a0on local ships. Including: U.S.S. Pampanito<\/a>, U.S.S. Hornet<\/a>, U.S.S. Potomac<\/a>, S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien<\/a>, U.S.S. Red Oak Victory<\/a>, and\u00a0U.S.S. Lucid<\/a>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
What will be expected:\u00a0 Be prepared for a chilly radio room in a tight space below the water level of the Bay, and to chat with visiting tourists as well as operating the HF radio.\u00a0 For this reason, we need two operators for each shift:\u00a0 one to talk with visitors and one on the radio making QSOs with radio operators all around the country and overseas..<\/td>\nWHILE\u00a0THIS IS NOT A MARS SPONSORED EVENT,\u00a0 but our members are encouraged to participate and operate.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
