One star is awarded for each event worked. This is available to members and non-members.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/w6sg.net\/site\/public-service\/public-service-honor-roll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Public Service Honor Roll<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ham-of-the-Year <\/strong>&#8211; A long MARC and MARS tradition. This award recognizes significant contributions to the club in the past year. Nominations are made by board members and committee chairs to the club president who will pick the recipient. In 2019 the board determined to realign the process for making this award to more closely correspond to its name. Prior to that the was based on:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">&#8220;Any member may be nominated for this annual award, except for currently serving directors. Nominations may be made by any previous awardee. Previous years awardees discuss the nominees, reach consensus, and make a recommendation to the Club President. Previous awardees shall be ineligible to receive this award for a period of ten years from their previous award. It is normally awarded to members who have selflessly volunteered in and\/or enhanced club activities.
