Overview: The Double Dipsea begins and finishes in Stinson Beach, with a 14 mile run to Mill Valley and back over the Dipsea Trail. It is a handicapped start event.\u00a0 Some slow-moving, un-official\u00a0participants, may be on the trail early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
NOTE: TICK BLOOM – We have been informed of a ‘tick bloom’ on Mt. Tam, in late April, 2016. If your assignment takes anywhere where you might be at risk, TAKE PRECAUTIONS! Ticks in this area carry Lyme Disease.<\/span> <\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
NOTE: Hours are changed in 2017.\u00a0 \u00a0The park service wants parking at Stinson back earlier. <\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
The following stations are to announce live<\/strong><\/span> the first\u00a0five runners numbers and the lead female runner\u00a0as the pass through: Old Mill Park, Windy Gap, Muir Woods, Cardiac Hill, and White Gate (both directions).<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
All stations<\/strong> advise Net Control of the numbers of the final runners and arrival of the sweep.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Of course, EMERGENCY TRAFFIC always has priority.<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
We have described the station locations as best we can. The equipment recommendations are based on past experience. Volunteers should be prepared for changing conditions.<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
